One of Syn's really useful tips in Lesson 37 was to commit as much of the Circle of Fifths to memory as possible - something I had put off doing for a while before joining the school. So I decided to memorize it properly and see if I could write a short instrumental cycling through all 12 keys in Lydian - which gives it this weird wonky feel - I put a creative twist in this one and got my foot involved too. Definitely had too much fun making this :D enjoy!
This series is suitable for any level of player (Beginner to Advanced) - and you don't need any Music Theory/Fretboard Theory knowledge to check it out - it is more of a guide to get you playing quickly, rather than me going into everything.
So I finally got round to a project today that I've been wanting to do for a long time for the School, to help people with soloing using Triads I'm in the video editing/polishing stages just now. Updates to follow in the coming days!
Thinking about posting a quick Triads video lesson when I get the time - It would be a lesson teaching you how to break out of your scale shapes momentarily and get some simple but cool melodies going. Would this be of use to anyone on here?
My band just dropped our new single 'SILENT DISCO' and we're trying to get loads of streams on Spotify on day one to make the algorithm tick in our favor. If you like catchy indie with a breakdown then this tune is for you
So yesterday I realised I hit a new teaching milestone - I've now reached 30 students & for the first time in my career & I'm very close to having to turn new students away. Crazy to think during the first lockdown I had only 2 students a week!
So the new Scottish Lockdown is meaning that I can't teach people in person for the foreseeable - Are there any Teachers on here that know of good places to advertise their lessons for Zoom? Or Any Zoom tips in general?
My Lesson Video for The Musical Alphabet & How to Use it is finished and rendering now! - I'll post it in Tutorials when it's uploaded It's 12 mins long - as it goes quite in depth. It should hopefully be of use to someone
