  • Hi! guys, can anyone tell me about the Bdim. And how can I use it over the progression in C major chord family.

Bdim is stacked minor thirds, B D and F. In the C chord family it is generally used as a Bm7b5, which is a B half diminished chord. It's also a substitution for a Dm6. So you can use it as a V chord when your chord progression is in G mixolydian or as you V chord in E phrygian. It does sound better in combination with other extended chords imo.

Thanks, I will just go ahead and give it a spin right now 🙂.
