So I've been learning Avenged Sevenfold songs for a few months now as I'm beginning to feel my guitar theory is at a good enough level that I can, however slowly, perform the techniques in these solos. Oh, then my settings should actually be quite accurate for you - I didn't want to be to definite on the gain settings in case you had lower output humbuckers or some other form of pickups- D. Asher

I can't really say much in terms of settings on the Katana, but for EQ I found that these settings work quite well for an A7X tone, and should work for Unholy Confessions; Treble: 5 Mids: 6 Bass: 6 You might also want fairly high gain, but not too high. I personally use around 8-ish, but you...- D. Asher
