Hello everyone!
I hope everyone had good Christmas and new year celebrations!
I haven’t been very active on the school because I have been doing a lot of things with my family and friends in the past month.
I am currently in Italy! My parents have been living here for 4 years now and every year or two I visit them.
Keep in mind that we are from Brazil.
I am having a great time! Missing the guitar though haha.
But anyways!
In the 7th of January it is my 22nd birthday and a really good friend of mine is building a guitar for me as a gift.
Here are some pictures of the current progress;

I am really excited about it because I wanted a Strat for so long now! And this is kinda special to me because i get to design it as I want!
Don’t get me wrong! I still love my fender tele and my Synyster custom haha.
This is the design I am seeking! Very vintage, but cool nevertheless.

Thank you guys !
I am happy that you guys liked it!
My friend was kind enough to build it for me and help me to do the electronics and stuff.
Of course I am helping a little bit with the money for the parts ( pick ups, shield…). But I am very happy nevertheless.
@filip Yeah man ! I am currently doing some research on how to do custom watermarks for the headstock. I wat to put CORSO on it !
@dominik 1 and 2 haha.
Yes, it takes time and resources. I do agree.
But I am seeing it as a therapy and to learn new things about the instrument.
@Sayonil No worries, mate ! I will try to send as many pictures as I can. Maybe do a video as well on how this beast will sound haha.
@kevin for sure, buddy!! Thank you

What a cool gift! This is amazing! I’d also love to watch a your review of it when it’s ready!
I haven’t had a guitar costum built, but a friend of mine is a painter and I commissioned her to do an original painting on my guitar. I was inspired by Mark Tremonti, who got an artist called Joe Fenton to do the same on his PRS.

Update 23/01/18
New shield arrived and the pick ups have been attached to it.

Next step is doing the last holes to the body.

And after that using this amazing paint to make the body look as I want!!
It was very hard to achieve fender’s lake placid blue color. So we had to improvise! But I think the color is pretty much ok.

Hope you liked it guys!
Keep rocking!

We are almost there!
– doing the final touches on the wood!
Sanding, polishing, aligning the parts and electric cables to see if everything will work.

I’ve always wanted to try my hand at building a guitar. My custom model I want to get is only $500 in hardware but I’m being quoted at over $2000-$3000 by most custom shops before I even add in my custom graphic requests.

Thanks @kevin !! I am very excited for the final result.
We will assemble them on Monday afternoon.
@the raven yeah dude! It can be very expensive! But my friend just started doing this kinds of job, so i am helping him do his experiment haha.
And my guitar is also a gift from him.
If you want to share your design, be my guest!
Thanks again for the interest guys !!!!!
