I'm putting it here because I didn't really know where else to put it but I was messing around with a simple F-C-G chord progression which nicely resolves to G in the end so you have an VII-IV-I progression making it G mixolydian but that's not really important here(just some additional info)

Basically what I found is that it's really cool to mix up the shape used for the G. So for example you use C-shape F and A shape C everytime(I personally like to play A shapes using the first inversion but that's just personal preference) and when you get to the G you do E-shape G the first time and C shape G the second time which creates a nice dynamic. You think it's different while it actually isn't and sound pretty cool imo
