So I have an Ibanez Artwood series acoustic guitar that I got way back around 2000 when I was in high school. I'm hoping to find out the exact model that I have. I looked for a serial number and there is a number string stamped inside the body of the guitar, but googling that comes back with nothing. I'm just looking for specs on the guitar for my own knowledge. Anyone have any tips on finding out that information for an old guitar? 🤘

Ibanez Serials usually start with a letter to indicate what factory the guitar was made in. A few different sub-contracting manufacturers were using an 8-digit (no letter) serial number in 2000, but the specific factory cannot be determined from the serial itself - they just don't have the records (I know, right?). By all accounts I can find, it is either an AW50 or an AW100. You can look into those models specifically to see which one has the features your has. I'd like to know what you find!

Thanks. That gives me a starting point.
