how to create my own guitar tone?

hey guys i’m starting to record a song and i want to create my own guitar tone but i don’t know how to achieve a good sound, the order of the pedal effects or how to eq a guitar, if its better a dual amp or just a single one. im using bias fx 2 cuz i don’t have money to spent on a real rig. can you throw me some light on there?

It all depends on what you want. Heavy Gain, light gain,clean,crunch,overdrive they are all different in there on ways

oh craps i forgot about that haha i want heavy gain. a rythm tone and a lead tone for melodies with solos

Are you doing DI or Mic up a amp?

I use the Le456,NadIR and a Gate they are free btw but sound really good

I am a super picky son of a bitch when it comes to tone and I have only recently of ound a rhythm tone that works, I use the original bias fx pro and I run 2 programs at the same time, I have two tones that are incredibly similar to each other but one has more clarity than the other. It has 2 mesa dual recs, 2 tube screamers and a 10 band eq on each (with noise gates) It sounds 7 figures and i’m so happy I got it right. I will post screenshots of my settings in this thread if you want to replicate it in bias
For leads I use a preset called “Vai rig 1.1” with the delays shortened

Just play around. It changes from even the room you’re in. You’ll have to experiment and find your tone.
