hey guys do you want to join this challenge?
the rules are simple, just pick up a song you love and improvise the solo to a guitar backing track of that song! i chose a song instead of a jam track because i found jam tracks less emotional if that makes any sense.
then after you record yourself improvising the solo, post it here or in the riffs section by the name Improvisation Challenge- ( and the name of the song you chose)
i doesn't have to be extreme improvisation, so if you're a begginer you can join to!
i hope you like this challenge!

I just wanted to say you all are kicking ass! I wish I could be a part of this but it's just too much for me to do at the moment with all the stuff I have going on but I bet it's going to be amazing!

For those of you who are beginning with improvisation, focus on finding the triads of each chord in the progression. The 1, 3 and 5. Learning where the triads are will really help you form melodies and help you find safe landing spots in the very beginning and can help you find harmonizing notes. They will also help you navigate the neck and keep you from getting stuck in a pentatonic Box. You'll also start to recognize patterns you can sweep or do string skips! Have fun everyone!

Saving this because it's such a helpful reminder. Currently trying to memorize the fretboard. Love you Jak.
