libad5343.net - Marketing Campaign or ????

So there's a LOT of speculation that the "hack" of the band a couple days ago carried out by Reddit user "libad5343" is actually the start of a marketing campaign for the new album and/or single.

It looks very likely to be true (though, it should be said, if it is, the guys ain't telling us - this is as much news to me as anyone)

There's the website: libad5343.net - this website was only registered on February 16th, right before Syn made a cryptic post saying "The point of it all is to beat the game"

There are, scattered in hidden places, references to a number of science fiction IPs - 2001, Blade Runner, Jurassic Park, etc.

LIBAD could mean "Life is But a Dream."

And on the Discord, the mods have compiled a handy doc to bring folks up to speed. There is much to still be unconvered.

Fuckery indeed. It's fun to watch, but I'm bad at figuring this kind of shit out. I hope that what HAS been figured out gives hints to the lyrical content of the album though, because so far it's fucking sweet.

I agree that it looks very likely that it is some sort of marketing campaign for new album/single. If it were a "hacker" that set all this in motion, it would have taken months to set it all up, and for what? The AI/Sci-fi stuff also seems very much like something they would incorporate.

I don't care for the announcing concerts are cancelled though, and then saying, that wasn't us, we're still playing. Doesn't affect me, but people get pretty sensitive about that kind of stuff. Definitely getting attention though, so I guess maybe it's doing what it was supposed to do.

I'm ready for the new music though, so I do hope this is the start of something!

So far everything I'm typing gives that pattern - apart from one thing:

I think you’re on to something. Tried it out for myself. The word extraterrestrial also causes it to disappear. However, If you do aliens after…it’s faster and closer together.
