New guitar new passion

I've been agonizing over Crimson Day and just generally getting frustrated. No matter what I was working on, chord changes, strumming, riffs, guitar wasn't fun anymore. Then I got my Syn Gates standard and it just reignited my want to learn and practice. I guess I just needed something new to get me out of my rut. I love my Epi LP but I've been false starting on it for 16 years. Anyone else get that feeling when they get a new guitar?

Yes and no. New guitars do inspire me to play but I don't need it to play if that makes sense. I got a new guitar recently and it inspired me to write a song I normally wouldn't have written but at the same time if I wouldn't have gotten it I would play just as much as I do know
