Please suggest pedal setup

Hi guys, I'm looking to build a basic pedal setup that I can then add on later. I had a basic cheap multi-effect before.

I play mostly A7X but would also like to be able to achieve some more aggressive tones. I would definitely like a delay pedal in there.

Here are some that I found would work for me, please suggest up to 3 that I should pick from initially:

• Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer or TS808
• MXR MC401 Boost/Line Driver
• Boss CS-3 Compression Sustainer
• MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay
• MXR Custom Comp CSP202
• MXR ZW44 Zakk Wylde Overdrive
• Boss SD-1 Super OverDrive

My suggestion is to go find demos on youtube or go try them out yourself. Youll figure out which ones you want more

I know you picked these pedals because Syn used these live in the past. He has a pedal coming out soon, so you might want to consider holding off for that. It would also help us recommend which pedals to get depending on what type of amp/rig you’re using.

The tube screamer, SD-1, ZW44, and MC401 all do the same thing, so I would buy one of those. The ZW44 is a modded SD-1. I’m a tube screamer guy, I would choose that personally. but OD’s have different sonic qualities. You also have 2 compressors listed, I would only choose one. He did use the CS-3 mostly as a boost for leads on the earlier albums.

Also worth mentioning he’s using a Visual Sound H20 pedal in the studio (Version 1, but any version will do) and its a sick pedal.

I think the compressor won't do much alone, I don't know much about FX though. Probably overdrive is a good one to start with if that helps some
