I'm playing the six notes (5,7,5,7,5,7) with the amp connected and it just doesn't sound the same,any suggestions?
If you’re referring to that it sounds different plugged in than not, I suggest turning down all distortions and play it clean and see if it sounds like right. If not, make sure you’re still in tune from before and make sure there’s no pedals accidentally turned on if you have any.

    That part’s on you. PG had been playing longer than most of us have been alive. One of the more important skills to develop is often the most overlooked - nuance. Spice. Adding “flair” to your playing - bends, vibrato, slides, combinations of the above.
    Also knowing that you can mix and match in an almost infinite way.

    Very similar to scales. You can play the notes and just hit the notes and it just sounds like a progression. But once you hit those notes in particular orders and timing and start making solos out of them is when you really understand how complex they can be and like Ed said, how they can be mixed and matched infinitely.
