Guitar Chaning strings on a floating bridge

Sup SYNNERS!
It's my first time changing strings on my beautiful Syn custom S.
And I wanted to ask if I need to remove this piece while changing the strings (It's called a locking nut?)

I think it can be loosened and the strings slide under it

No strings just go underneath it.

That’s not the locking nut. That’s a “string tree,” and as others have said, leave it alone and slide the strings under it. The locking nut is the part below it where you removed the three Allen screws holding down three blocks that clamp over two strings each.
