Roman Sky – tips?

Does anyone know what Syn is playing during the pre-chorus of Roman Sky? Such a great song but I’m stuck after the sort of open A 5th chord thingy, then the run that sort of hammers on the 3rd n 2nd fret on the g and runs down from 5th fret on the d string. He plays some kind of picked arpeggiated chords and I just can’t work it out… I’ve been watching the live at the Grammy Museum video flat out but the camera doesn’t stay in the right spot long enough and I find I am too blown away by the overall song I can’t pick the notes out of the mix haha.
Also tips on getting an acoustic tone like he has in that video?

I think he plays A chord arpeggio, then 4th fret A string, 5th fret D string, 6th fret G string, open high e string, then he plays Dm arpeggio and after that I don’t know
