Tube amp question

Hey Matt, it all kind of depends on how the amp is used. If you’re frequently using the amp (4-?) times a week on a regular basis, it’s usually a good idea to change them once every year/year and a half for the amp to preform and sound as optimal. However tubes can last a lot longer than that. I’ve had the tubes in my Marshall head for about 4 years at this point and while it probably doesn’t sound as great as it can potentially, it still preforms pretty well. Rule of thumb though is about once a year. Hope that helps!

You’re welcome! Also usually a good idea to take it to a place to get them changed that has a good amp tech. Sometimes the head or combo may need to be biased in order for the tubes to run as efficiently as possible, which in turn will help them last longer.
