What’s the lowest you’ve played your guitar?

Pretty much drop d and half step down. In general I think it starts being to Low when you get at drop c.

I tried drop A for some Breaking Benjamin, and slipknot songs…yea waaay to low for my guitar lol

I guess drop pedals are the solution for lower tunings on 10-46 string gauges.

The lower the tuning the thicker the strings should be remember that.

To really get the most out of your drop-tuned guitar, it’s gotta be setup for it. Which can be annoying if you’re switching all the time. You can usually drop at least one full step and be okay, depending on the guitar, but for anything more than that you might want some adjustments made. Without doing that, you’ll get intonation issues and Your strings could just be too loose. I’ve got a guitar setup for drop C and I love that tuning. I wish I had one setup for drop b/a so I could play along with slipknots songs too

I’ve done drop B and A with 10-52 heavybottoms. That’s before I realized you needed thicker strings for lower tuning. (oops)

Here is a good guide for what gauge strings to use for what tuning. I would still recommend a setup when changing tunings.
