Scream – Guitar Tuning

I’m struggling a little bit with tabs, i see many people on YouTube who teach this in a different way etc. and like nobody has tabs like mine but it sounds pretty close to the original song, and i’m like wtf? from my knowledge halleonard sells official tabs so why they didn’t use them in a video?

@ed I think it’s more like whih part does Syn play live. To be honest I usually just pick the harmonie which uses the most comfortable fingering for me

Scream is played in Dropped D tuned down half a step on every string, as is HTTK

half step, as is Almost easy and I believe critical acclaim. They experimented with that tuning a lot on that album. I dont think theres many other songs tho that are in that tuning. Could be wrong, feel free to correct me.

Off the top of my head, Paradigm, Hail To The King, Coming Home, Almost Easy, and Scream are all the songs in drop C#. The rest are all drop D.

I’m pretty sure the tab books are transcribed by professionals but not the actual artist and since the same notes repeat themselves on the fretboard there’s multiple ways to play the same thing. The way in the video looks more like what Syn plays live and from watching live videos it seems like when Zacky and Syn are both playing the harmonized part Syn plays the lower harmony but switches to the higher one when Zacky starts playing rhythm.
