Bridge Pickup or Neck Pickup

I just want to see which pickup you all prefer for which cases. I tend to always use my bridge pickup, because I find that the neck pickup has a bit too much bass to it (my personal view). But I want to ask if using certain pickups will give better sound quality in recordings, and which pickup to use for solo/rhythm playing? Or is it all just down to personal preference?

I mostly use my bridge too but there are some cases, mostly with clean riffs, when i prefer the neck pickup sound (i have Invaders).
I wrote a song where the verse uses clean sound with neck and the chorus is with distorted bridge… You have no idea how fun the changes are while i sing too.

I just use what sounds best. The neck pups almost always sound better clean on all my guitars. That’s with active or passive. If I want pinch harmonics, the bridge works best.

IMO its all about what kind of guitar/pickups you have, go with what you think sounds best. I have the syn custom s and i like to use the bridge for rhythm/riffs/solos and neck for sweep picking/clean.

When i play clean op tend to use my neck pickup for solos without wah i also use the neck pickup or the middle position. In all other instances I use the bridge pickup

Always bridge when playing rhythm. For solos it depends. If I want an aggressive feeling, I use bridge. If I want a more emotional or soft solo, I use the neck pickup.
