Jazz lll picks?

So I’ve noticed that allot of you guys use jazz lll picks. What do you guys like about them that makes them so popular?

They have a sharp point so when you want to shred with them it is easier. Also I use Ultex jazz III 2.0 and i do really like the clearity i get with them

The sharper point, as Ids said, but also the smaller size. I “choke up” on the pick a lot, and don’t see a need for all that extra real estate.

I love Jazz III XLs for the precision… but also love big fat picks for how smooth they are on the strings so Im pretty conflicted… xD
But yeah Jazz III are great because you really ”feel” the string and know where your right hand is at, makes the notes instanstly stand out and cleaner compared to floppy picks.

Ultex jazz III 2.0 are great. It’s the one I use and it is also the only ine I used

Second the Ultex Jazz III 2.0’s. I switched to those about six months ago after a multi-pick shootout, with them narrowly beating the JP picks, which are similar.

Just got a pack of JP Jazz III’s. I love how much of an impact the point makes. Very clean.

I’ve used jazz III for years, pretty much for the same reasons stated already, plus i have really small hands so the smaller size feels more confortable to play

Through them being not very elastic and being sharp, they get a sharp and loud tone. However the classic small ones aren’t the best when holding the pick like explained in the beginner lessons here. So I switched to the Dunlop Gator Grips and am happy with them. It still depends on what you want to play though.
